Offering the flexibility of in-house thermocouple fabrication, thermocouple wire can be used to fabricate thermocouples by joining the positive and negative legs together at the measuring junction. We also offer a wide range of extension wire to extend thermocouples to reach control instrumentation. Temperature range, environment, protection, insulation requirements, response time and service life should be considered for all applications.

Thermocouple wire is available in bare or insulated, thermocouple grade or extension grade. Stocked in standard 1,000 foot spools, Furnace Parts stocks a wide variety of wire sizes and calibration types, pre-calibrated and available for immediate shipment. Custom spool sizes are available by request.

Custom calibrations also are available through our ISO 17025 accredited in house laboratory. Insulation offerings include fiberglass, high temperature glass, Refrasil® and ceramic fiber, among others. 

• Bare Thermocouple Wire: Bare thermocouple wire is available for those that prefer the flexibility of manufacturing their own thermocouples. Product is available in a wide variety of gauges and calibrations, from base metal to platinum-rhodium.

• Insulated Thermocouple Wire: Furnace Parts LLC offers a host of insulated wire
  options. Our product offering includes many standard insulations, including fiberglass, high-temperature fiberglass, refrasil, ceramic fiber, rubber, nylon, PVC, teflon, kapton
  and synthetic fiber. In addition, most insulated wire can be covered with inconel or stainless steel overbraid for additional abrasion resistance
  
  Insulated thermocouple wire can be fabricated into accurate and dependable thermocouples for uniformity surveys by joining the positive and negative legs together at the measuring junction. We provide customers with a “Fast-Fix” alternative to creating a welded junction (a physical connector), eliminating the time and equipment requirements of welded junctions.

• Extension and Lead Wire: Extension and lead wires also are available in various calibrations and insulations, although they typically do not encounter the extreme temperature or physical abuse.
